We got some positive feedback from our realtor about the people who looked at our home a few days ago. Of all the homes they looked at, they liked ours the best. Now we have to play the waiting game to see if they will come in with an offer. In this market, I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry.
Kim and I looked at a model home here in McCormick Woods the other day to get some ideas. Home builder D. R. Horton is building about 30 homes nearby. They are the largest home builder in the United States and are planning a new community in Folsom, CA this spring.
The video of the home below is "the one" for me although I think I liked it a little more than Kim. It is their "Sedona" model, a simple single story 3-bedroom rambler, about 2000 square feet and was priced at $364,000 here in Washington. I think it would be a little more in California and according to the D. R. Horton website, this particular model is not currently being offered in the Folsom development. I am negotiating with some of their representatives to see if they could make an exception. It never hurts to ask.
Very nice floor plan, I love the big kitchen/family room! Single story is a real plus. Hope you can get a reasonable offer and move forward with your plans it would be great to have you closer. Love, Britt
ReplyDeleteHaving the family room right off the kitchen is a great feature. People naturally congregate to either the kitchen or family room, having them together means you don't have to yell to the other side of the house. I agree with Britt, single story is the way to go (especially for your knees!). Love you guys!
